Seafood is rich in protein, low in fat, loaded with vitamins and minerals and forms an essential part of a healthy balanced diet.

Seafood is part of the protein-rich food group of which you should have 2-3 servings daily and it is advised that you eat two portions of fish weekly, one of which should be oil-rich fish. Herring, Mackerel, Salmon and Tuna are some of the species in the oil-rich category. This means they are high in natural oils such as Omega 3, which is a class of polyunsaturate proven to have many health benefits.
