| The Elmore Family’s involvement
in the fishing industry dates back to 1894 when the first fish was
bought by an Elmore on Ardglass harbour and drawn to the Lisburn factory
by horse and cart. Four generations later the Elmore family is still
buying and selling fish, delivering to customers everyday.
Elmore Fish Limited moved to its purpose built EC approved premises
in Dunmurry in 1988. The traditional methods of processing fish
are used in conjunction with the latest technology available. This
processing ability and the fact that an Elmore still buys fish at
the quayside enables the company to be flexible, accommodating all
of its diverse customer requirements. Elmore Fish Limited is one
of the few companies which still processes and sells fish to the
end user.
